I recently had a chance to meet up with Brooke to capture her senior portrait session. We had a great day taking photos around Chippewa Falls and Lake Wissota. I had so much fun with Brooke taking her senior portraits.
Lake Wissota Senior Photography
Brooke is graduating from Chippewa Falls High School in 2019 and while she is not sure what her plans are after graduation, she’s already had a chance to move from one high school to another and is a pro at embracing change. She says that moving schools has allowed her so many more opportunities to make new friends and to forge new relationships because there are so many neat people everywhere you go. This sweet young lady tries to be the kind of person who puts others first. Not only that, but growing up she always wanted to be like her greatest role model: her mother. Brooke also shared that her high school experience taught her that no matter what, if you always stay true to yourself, it will always work out. That level of optimism and that outgoing attitude was so present in her senior portraits.
Brooke and I had a meet and greet before her Lake Wissota senior session and it really helped me to get a read on who she is and what was important to her. I already knew Brooke, since I photographed her brother, a family portrait session with her whole family, and now her senior portraits. But, even though I’d already had a chance to meet her, I wanted to make sure I took the time to get to know what she wanted out of her senior portrait session. With my high school senior sessions, it’s important to me that the entire session is personalized to that high school senior’s style. Midwest seniors are all unique, and their senior portraits should be, too!
That’s why we hit up the streets and country backroads to find her some locations that reflect Brooke. From cityscape to country life, we worked together to find backgrounds that were important to her. Wandering down those country roads, we were even able to capture her inner love for bow hunting and water.
Brooke is full of spunk! While she might seem timid and shy, once you get to know her, she’s got a high-energy personality. She spiced up her senior session with a super fun outfit and wedges. It was so much fun to capture a session that was totally Brooke. Thank you, Brooke for letting me be your senior photographer!
